Our story
About Serenity Games
A casino that asks you to breathe between hands — born on the banks of the Maribyrnong, designed for everyone who has ever felt the rush of a game and wished it would slow down.
The idea, in a single sentence
Games should leave you calmer than when you started.
Where it began
For more than a decade, Laura has taught yoga in a small studio at 44 Hampstead Road, Maidstone — a quiet street of weatherboard houses, a few minutes' walk from the Maribyrnong River. Her students came in tense and left lighter. The river ran on, untroubled.
One winter morning, a long-time student admitted she had been losing her evenings to a social casino app. The flashing lights. The countdown timers. The feeling of not being able to put it down. She had asked Laura, half in jest, whether yoga could help. Laura wondered, instead, whether a casino could.
What we made
Four games — Zen Garden Slots, River Flow Roulette, Flow Poker, and Stillness Blackjack — built around a single principle: every ten turns, the screen invites you to pause. Thirty seconds of box breathing. An animated lotus. A choice to continue, or to step away.
The Daily Intention is a free spin paired with one of Laura's affirmations. It refreshes at six in the morning, AEST. It cannot be paid for, only practised.
What we are not
Serenity Games is not a gambling site. Lotus Coins, our virtual currency, have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. We are a free social casino for entertainment only — and we are committed to staying that way.
Where we are going
We are a small team in Melbourne's inner west, building slowly and listening carefully. If you have a feedback to share, write to us at [email protected]. We answer every letter.
